چکیده
Obtaining high levels of mechanical properties in steels is directly linked to the use special forming processes and addition alloying elements during their manufacture. This work presents a study hot-rolled steel strip produced achieve yield strength above 600 MPa, using niobium microalloyed HSLA with non-stoichiometric titanium (titanium/nitrogen ratio 3.42), rolled on Steckel mill. A major challenge imposed by rolling mill that process reversible, resulting long interpass times, which facilitates recrystallization grain growth kinetics. Effect of Thermomechanical Processing on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of a Duplex Stainless Steel
Duplex stainless steels (DSSS) have a microstructure composed of ferrite and austenite phases that gives them a very good combination of mechanical and corrosion properties. These steels are desirable for many applications in the chemical and petrochemical industries. In the present study, a type of stainless steel was cast, solution annealed at 1200°C for 60 min and then quenched in water. Ini...
متن کاملEffect of Controlled Cooling on Microstructure and Tensile Properties of Low C Nb-Ti-Containing HSLA Steel for Construction
The thermo-mechanical control processing (TMCP) of low carbon (C) Nb-Ti-containing HSLA steel with different cooling rates from 5 to 20 ◦C/s was simulated using a Gleeble 3500 system. The samples’ microstructure was characterized and the tensile properties measured. The results show that a microstructure mainly consisting of quasi-polygonal ferrite (QPF), granular bainitic ferrite (GBF), and ma...
